Nature monument "Prerast Hollow Rock" is the largest natural stone arch in Serbia with a span of 150 m. This impressive example of natural engineering stands out because it was not formed by the collapse of a cave, but was patiently built by the river of the same name that murmurs beneath it over centuries.
With a height of 44.8 m and a width at the base of 9.7 m, it dominates the surroundings in its beauty, especially when you see the Sun underneath it in the afternoon.
Highly attractive for visitors, especially appealing to adventurers and nature lovers. A place you must visit when you come to eastern Serbia.
Where is it located?
It is located 10 km from Majdanpek, at the foot of Rudna Glava.
How to get there?
Access is possible from three directions: Via Belgrade - Požarevac - Majdanpek - Rudna Glava. Travel along the Đerdap highway M-25 and then take road 33.
From Kladovo, take roads 35 and 34. From Niš via Zaječar, take road 35.
From the regional road, there is a marked hiking trail about 1,300 m long that will take you through picturesque landscapes enclosed by high cliffs and rocks to Valja Prerast.
