A cultural and entertainment event dedicated to preserving folk tradition. It has been held for over 30 years in the courtyard of the Vražogrnačka Church, where folklore groups from Serbia and abroad present their customs through song and dance.
The idea for the Vražogrnačko Cultural Summer, held in Vražogrnci, was conceived by teacher and educator Andrej Đergović Pešić, giving rise to an event dedicated to the wheel. Why the wheel? Because everyone returns and arrives in the village by means of wheels, symbolically representing the renewal of life, the flow of things, movement...
Colorful folk costumes from the entire Timok region, scents of local specialties, colors on canvas paintings, folk motifs on towels, shirts, are all part of the Vražogrnački Točak event. Here, both young and old gather, girls sing, the circle dance is performed, and everything comes to life as it did many years ago, at the place where tradition begins.
Vražogrnački Točak lasts for two days: on the first day, guests from Serbia and abroad gather, while on the second day, folk ensembles from the Timok region perform. The event is accompanied by various programs of rich content: art exhibitions, homemade crafts, culinary competitions, an exhibition of ritual breads. It takes place at the beginning of August.
