For much of its course through Eastern Serbia, the Danube passes through the Djerdap National Park.  The Danube is an ideal place for relaxation on well-maintained beaches and campsites, mingling with locals and fishermen who skillfully catch catfish in the middle of the Danube.

Here, you can enjoy winter wonderlands and winter sports. Ski slopes are available on  Stara planina, Crni Vrh,  and also in the immediate vicinity of the city center of Zaječar.

If you prefer quieter walks or hiking, you're welcome to the mystical Rtanj, Stol, Veliki Krš, Deli Jovan, Miroč … Walking along Dubašnica relaxes and rejuvenates every visitor, while the view from the Lazarev Kanjon viewpoint is breathtaking.

Staying in the area of Eastern Serbia, the Romans discovered healing waters in ancient times and built baths and spas on them. For centuries, they attracted crowned heads, the aristocracy, bohemians, and writers. Whether you choose Sokobanja, Gamzigrad ili Brestovačkau banja you will feel rejuvenated.

A large number of endemic species of flora and fauna, mostly found in the Đerdap National Park give these landscapes a special charm.

You can try your luck at fishing for trout in the clear mountain rivers and streams of Eastern Serbia, while hunters will find thousands of hectares of hunting grounds. The local population will gladly show you how to use plants from nature, such as Rtanj tea.
