Rajkova Cave, near Majdanpek, carefully guards the "secret of buried treasure," captivating everyone who visits with its beauty. This is evidenced by the increasing number of tourists who come year after year to see the Crystal Hall: the fairytale sparkle of crystals and white ornaments.
In addition to the Crystal Hall, other notable attractions include the Hedgehog Hall, Small and Large Organs, Altar, Spirits, as well as halls that bring smiles to visitors: Maiden's Breasts, Winter Fairy Tale, and more.
The cave is located within the Djerdap Geopark and belongs to the group of river caves. The Rajkova River flows through it. It has been open to tourist visits since 1975. There are two horizons: the river and the dry, each with its own source and sink parts. The explored channels stretch for more than 3.6 km, containing cave formations of pure calcite crystal white in color.
Rajkova Cave is named after the famous Rajko Vojvoda, who is believed to have lived in the 19th century. According to legend, he was a merchant during the day and a robber of Turkish caravans at night, hiding his loot in this cave.
