With the aim of reviving the rich heritage of theater in Zaječar, the Theatre Museum opened its doors in 2023 in the building of the former "Nikola Pašić" memorial.
Here, you can explore the history of Zaječar's theater through numerous exhibits from the theater's collection, photographs, and valuable gifts from famous actors. The uniqueness of this museum is also reflected in the fact that the Zaječar theater is the only one with its own museum.
In the other part of the building, you will find the Theatre Gallery and Cultural Center, a space where art exhibitions, art colonies, literary evenings, and other cultural events are organized. The permanent exhibition of the art gallery presents the works of 26 artists who created under the auspices of the Gamzigrad Art Colony.
