The soothing sound of water and the captivating nature make Ripaljka Waterfall a true oasis for relaxation, while a beautifully arranged picnic area awaits right next to the waterfall.
The excursion site "Grudno" guards a secret: nestled in greenery and surrounded by fresh air lies Ripaljka Waterfall. It originates on the Gradasnica River and is one of the tallest waterfalls in Serbia. It consists of 11 sections with a total height of about 40 meters. The height of the highest section is 11 meters. Its name comes from the local expression "ripati," which means to jump.
The waterfall has the most water in spring, after snowmelt. Above the waterfall, there is a picnic area with benches and tables for barbecue.
Ripaljka Waterfall is the first natural monument in our country protected by law since 1949. It is extremely attractive and one of the most visited places.
Where is it located?
It is located near the excursion site "Grudno," about 5 km from the center of Sokobanja.
How to get there?
If you drive from the center of Sokobanja towards the "Ozren" hospital, you will reach the hospital parking lot from where a dirt road descends, leading you to the waterfall.
